The West Leeds Country Park visitor centre is located in Pudsey Park and is housed in the old aviary building close to the Church Lane entrance to the park.
The new visitor centre is dedicated to the wildlife of west Leeds, containing freshwater fish, native mammals and birds, wildlife displays including a rabbit warren and a stone-built barn housing brown rats. The centre incorporates an interactive woodland area and a Nectar Corner. There is also a large education room within the centre. This room is an activity / community area in which activities will be run throughout the year, including bird box building, arts and craft sessions, “meet the wildlife” sessions etc.
Apart from external signs, standard to Leeds City Council, Caliba designed & produced interpretive exhibits, information and Interpretation graphics and a tree corner diorama.
